Dustin and son Mattias

St. Baldricks Foundation
Dustin Senkbeil, Customer Service Representative

"On December 30th 2008 our son Mattias ("Tias") was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoblastic T-Cell lymphoma. He went through a tortuous two years of chemotherapy, hospital stays and seclusion due to infection risks. Something no child should have to endure. As parents we realized that research was the most important thing in the world and St. Baldricks was the right organization for our efforts."

"December 31st, 2010 marked Mattias', last day of chemo. All scans and tests showed NO SIGNS of disease! He will be monitored for the rest of his life for recurrence." Dustin shaves his head twice a year for St. Baldricks, once in March and once in September during Childhood Cancer Awareness month. The event in September is put on by Dustin's wife and this year will mark his 6th shave. For more information on St. Baldricks Foundation and to visit Dustin's fund-raising page

Carrol and Scott Stephens

Supportive Living Inc.
Susan Guzman, Marketing Specialist
Susan's parents, Carrol & Doug Stephens, founded Supportive Living, Inc. in 1991 after Susan's 17-year-old brother, Scott, survived a car accident that left him permanently brain injured & severely disabled.

As her parents planned for long-term housing for Scott, they learned that most survivors of brain injury were institutionalized in state hospitals or nursing homes. The Stephens founded SLI to develop appropriate supportive housing for Scott and other survivors of brain injury. SLI, Inc. has developed 3 award-winning residential programs, which combine long-term, independent affordable housing with the personal care services needed by those recovering from the life-altering consequences of brain injury. Now in his mid 40s, Scott is living in a private apartment at Warren House, SLI’s Woburn, MA. Susan regularly assists with SLI's annual fund raising events and is the official SLI photographer.
